These were challenges faced by Grassias, a Yorkshire-based, thriving, direct-to-consumer grass seed producer. As their orders bloomed, the complexities of preparing and packing each product threatened to slow their growth.

Grassias is a leading online retailer within the gardening industry which is known for its high-quality grass seeds. The company is dedicated to helping their customers cultivate their lawns with a diverse range, they cater to abase of home gardeners and landscapers and have built a strong reputation for excellence.

On their mission to simplify lawn care, they’ve become a trusted name, but their rapid expansion meant their packing and fulfilment processes needed to scale quickly and efficiently

The Challenge: Growing pains

As Grassias' customer base flourished, their internal packing processes struggled to maintain a consistent pace which could keep up with their growing orders. The hand fulfilment of a diverse product range which includes products from delicate raw seeds to saleable stock keeping units(SKUs) quickly became a drain on their time and resources.

This growing brand needed a fulfilment partner who could integrate their fulfilment operations with their existing eCommerce platform and manage the intricate details of contract packing, whilst ensuring every package met their high standards for quality and presentation.

The Solution: Delivering better, together

Flow stepped in as a collaborative partner, not just a service provider. We proactively addressed the complexities of their fulfilment needs, by offering a bespoke plan that went beyond putting products in boxes.

Using the extensive experience among our team members, we created an efficient process for the picking, assembly, and quality testing of their products. In this new partnership we have been able to introduce cost-saving measures without compromising the quality and care Grassias’ customers expect.

The Result: A partnership that grows

By entrusting Flow with their Fulfilment, in addition to services such as shrink wrapping, Grassias has seen a significant boost in operational efficiency and a marked reduction in their internal workload. We are now an extension of the Grassias team, not only following instructions, but actively helping to improve their processes too.
