Meet our Head of Production, Buddy Cox

In the latest instalment of our ‘Meet the team’ series, we sat down with our Head of Production, Buddy and gained an insight into 13 years of Flow experience, and more about his day-to-day role.

What is your role?

My role is to run Flow’s operations and production for Direct Mail, Print and Modern Bookbinders.

How long have you worked with us?

I’ve been here for 13 years, since I started as an apprentice!

I’ve spent my time learning and gaining hands-on experience of the different services and processes we have at Flow which has helped me understand the different elements of the production and operations across my specific services.  

What is Flow’s secret to being so successful?

We prioritise the customer, building meaningful, genuine relationships which go further than work, so they see us as an extension of their team and not just a service provider.  

If you could pass on your most valuable piece of business advice, what would it be?

I would say to Invest in people. If you make the employees and customers the priority, the business will flourish. It’s exactly how Flow operates and, in my opinion, it’s the best mentality to have.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

I like the fact that every day can be different, but the principles are the same, despite each job I work on varying and having its own personality which we help to add to the campaign.  

Why would a customer want to work with Flow?

We make the customer the priority, we build relationships with customers that go further than work, we treat them as business partners which builds trust and longevity.  

What kind of clients do you work with?

We work with a wide range of clients, and we set no limitations on who we work with.

Wherever we can help, we will, we can even adapt our processes to better suit the client’s needs.  

What’s the best thing about working here?

It’s a family environment, we all look after each other, even as we grow. It’s always been part of the culture here, and it’s one of the reasons why I’ve been here for 13 years now.
